Photos and Texts is the personal website of Aneta Wharry Sperber.

I am a parent, artist and worker. For most of my life as an artist, I have thought of myself as a photographer. About 30 years ago, I started painting and writing on photographs and combining photographs with fabric, so I began to think of myself as a mixed media artist. I have always written, so I think of myself as a writer. As a worker, I have taught English, history and photography, so I also think of myself as a teacher. As a parent, I have been fortunate to have a patient and loving partner with whom to create a family of two excellent daughters and two grandchildren.
